HD7790 and driver

First of all, sorry for my bad English.
OK, i have a MSI 7790 OC, and i have some driver problem with it.
When i installed the normal 13.9 driver, the computer would freeze about 2 mins after the welcome logo of windows. No matter what i do, i will freeze, even if i didn't do anything
When the 13.12 driver is out, i install it, i didn't have any freeze, but the performance got drop hard. FPS went down by half (was getting 70 fps in BFBC2, with 13.12 i got about 30, the 3dmark11 score went from 4800 to 1800)
But when i install the specific 7790 performance driver, i have no problem at all.
So is this a problem with the driver, can i have a solution? Thank you all!

AMD x4 635
AsRock 790GMH
4GB Ram
HD7790 1GB

Maybe turning on vsync will help, if you haven't already. Two details needed on your problem, one is is the jump only happening in one game and, is the card functioning normally in a different computer environment? I think that's all. Take care.

Strange... I can guess it is a driver conflict, or a defective card. There is two things you can do, first clean install your windows and install the drivers accordingly and see if it helps. If it didn't, then I would try the card onto another system (that doesn't have any problem) and see if it behaves the same.

Hi friend, I'm also having problems with my recently bought 7790, this one from ASUS. I'm beggining to think that some 7790 are defective... Mine gives me drops on GPU Usage while playing; it drops to 0 or raises up to 100, never stable. Tried everything, new install of Win7, lots of drivers, nothing worked.
Let me know if you find a solution, but I think I will have to RMA it.

i am also having problem with 13.12 driver, im getting black screen while computer is still working and this will be fix only by restarting the PC, annoying part is, there are horizontal lines showing time to time. tried to reinstall... no fix.
