I know it's been discussed, but i'm hoping to get a few opinions on case cooling. I've read the most efficient setup is a rear top fan for exhaust and a front fan for intake. I would really like to have a vertical, bottom to top setup. I'm not sure how much heat rising has to do with case cooling considering were moving the air anyways....but i'm guessing it helps.

I'm thinking I would do 1 or 2 120mm gentle typhoons on the bottom in taking air, then 1 GT intake on my hyper 212 evo cooler, 1 GT exhaust on the other side of my cooler, and finally 1 or 2 GT's exhausting air on the top of my case.

Overkill? Definitely...

I'm planning a 7850K build and I would like to overclock the Sh** out of it. No discreet graphics or PCI cards to block the airflow, which is why in this case i'm going for the vertical cooling.

Lastly, I've only seen PS mounted to the rear top or bottom...anyone seen a case that allows it to be put anywhere else? Only because I'd like to have a direct straight line of airflow through my cpu...most bottom fans i've seen are offset by the PS. Not that I couldn't customize it myself....just wondering if there is a pre-made solution.

Thanks in advance guys!

For case fans, I always try to have more air being drawn out than blown in. I also like to have one fan blowing cool air from outside directly onto the GPU. I also like to have a GPU that has a closed enclosure design and not one that dumps the heat into the case. I would recommend the PS on the bottom. My current case a Lian Li has the PS on the top and even though it is a big case it still blocks air around the CPU and

Agreed, I have an NZXT guardian and i'm not a fan of the PS at the top. Def bottom for my next build!
