I recently upgraded my rig to

-dual r9 290x crossfire
-Asus Formula VI Motherboard
-16 gb Ram
-i7 4770k
-Corsair 850 w psu
- 240 gb ssd
- 1 tb hard drive

However, when I use the Motherboard driver cd to install all the drivers, my SSD freezes on Windows login, then I get BSOD. At first I thought it was just bad luck, so I reformatted my SSD and tried again, same issue. Tried it once more and installed one driver at a time til the computer crashed. The system will crash if I install USB 3.0. There are other drivers that cause the crash as well but I haven't identified which ones directly. I am wondering if anyone knows about the issue and has a fix? I would like to get the drivers on my computer without using up all the writes of my SSD in the process.

Solution
Do you have the latest BIOS and mobo drivers from the Web site (mobo's website) - those that came with the mobo were prob out of date when you got it
