Hi guys,

I'm trying to get into PC gaming and don't want to shell out too much for a beginner gaming PC, the guy at the store recommended the 'HP 500-141ea'.

Does anyone know if its a decent PC or if he was trying to rip me off?

Would it play indie games like Outlast, Gone home maybe even a little Battlefield4?

I need some serious help on this.

heres the thing i am trying to spread around on these store bought computers.. [dell,hp whoever].. if one day you want to do an upgrade these companys fix [locked bios's] there bios so you cant upgrade them easy. cause they dont want you to do somthing to there computer that may caues you to come back on them for repaires or warrenty or refund.. there are tricks to get around this but weather they will work is the thing when the time comes..

Can't say if he's ripping you off as you didn't include a price.

The system only includes a Radeon HD8470 graphics card; which no gamer here would consider even close to being a decent card.
The system only includes a 300 watt power supply, so adding a better card would likely also require adding a new power supply.
The system is a Socket FM2/AMD APU A8-6500 which has it's own graphics capabilities. If HP is selling the system with a discrete graphics card installed, then why in the world would they use an AMD APU for a processor? It makes no sense.

Too many things are wrong with this system and while I cannot confirm this, I'd say the salesman is just trying to get rid of these types of systems.
