Approximate Purchase Date: middle of feb.

Budget Range: Around $450

System Usage: Mostly gaming/ Watching tv

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: Looking to upgrade Mobo/Cpu, Ram,1tb HDD, Case.
Current CPU is an old Intel Q6600 2.4 ghz i feel as tho its not pushing like it used to so this is a biggy.
Current mobo is just too small, dont even know what type.
Will most likely need new ram (mine is old) would like 6-8gb
1tb hdd would be nice but i currently have a spare 1/2 tb i can use
Need a new case because my current is a prebuilt so its so jam packed.

Currently I can harvest my disk drives, power supply and GPU for new build-
Current GPU- His Radeon 6790 IceQ X 1gb
Power supple is OCZ Modxstreamer 500 watt

Do you need to buy OS: maybe, Have it on current harvestable HDD

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:New egg, Tiger Direct, Amazon

TL;DR

Need a new mobo/cpu, 8gb ram, 1tb hdd Case for under or around $450

Currently have soo much lag playing games, enough ram and im pretty sure on low settings my gpu should push out some performance, so im thinking it must be CPU getting old.

Thanks in advance for suggestions

Your gpu is good! And it can easily push BF3 on ultra, but i wouldn't be sure for new games.
Here is what i can give you from newegg for a price of 450 dollars:

BIOSTAR Hi-Fi A85W FM2 AMD A85X (Hudson D4) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard 79.99 dollars
AMD 760K Richland 3.8GHz Socket FM2 100W Quad-Core Desktop Processor 89.99 dollars
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory 69.99 dollars
WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache (from amazon) 59.99 dollars
Rosewill Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case CHALLENGER (from amazon) 44.99

This will actually cost you 344.95 dollars, you could sell your current gpu for 129 dollars and use another leftover 100 for gpu. you will have arround 130 dollars for gpu and you could buy gtx 760, a totally nice gpu that will play bf4 no problem!
