First, thanks in advance for the help.

Purpose of the computer is for work (spreadsheets, giant PDFs etc), multi-media and some high level gaming. I plan to have at least 2 x 1920*1080 monitors set up.

Due to space limitations, I am quite firm on the Grandia GD08. This is the only case that I have found that will suit the given space. I am also open to suggestions if the case is of exact or smaller size, with even better accoutics dampening quality and/or dust screening system.

I am looking for stable, silent, very well rounded performance, a confidence that this set up will last at least 3.5 years. Ease of cleaning is also a plus. By then, I shall perhaps perform an upgrade on the 1150 CPU (hopefully they still do those then), RAM, new SSD, PSU, and graphics card. But that is for the years to come...

Most basic items are pretty much set, or at least have an idea of what I want. I could use recomendations on PSU and graphics card:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k
MOBO: ASUS Z87 Sabertooth
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 RAM
HSF: Corsair Hydro High Performance Liquid Cooler H80i, bequiet! Dark Rock 2 has come to my attention, but I really want a liquid cooler.
SSD: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB x 1
HDD: WD Caviar Black SATA3 7.2krpm SATA3 2TB (WD2001FASS) x 1
WD Caviar Blue/Green SATA3 7.2krpm 500GB (WD5000AAKB) x1
PSU: Seasonic G Series 80plus Gold 650W
GPU: Some suggestions?
DVD: Some suggestions?
Case: Silverstone Grandia GD08

OS: Windows 7 Premium

Potential add-ons:
Additional USB 3.0 card ???
TV card??
Creative Soundblaster??

My problems:
1. Graphic cards is clearly main issue. I am not entirely sure if I should go with a very high end single card solution, or a dual GPU solution. I have a slight preference for single cards, but I know not much about which card meets my criteria.
2. PSU: 650W?...
3. DVD: Looking to watch DVDs/BluRay, and fast writing capabilities.
4. Will my set up fit the case?
5. I am open to alternatives/suggestions. Any additional comments/advice is more than welcome.

Thanks again!!

Back to the graphics card thing though. Geforce 660 SLI and a 850W 80+ PSU should do the trick right? As in performance is pretty much almost on par with the single Geforce 780?

Both are really good choice. But you have HTPC case. One video card is better because of small case.
Two video cards generate so much heat it will come really loud or too hot to work properly.
Water cooling may be solutin. But in small case there is not enough room for radiators to cool down cpu + 2 video cards. So single video card is better solution for you.
First thing. Lose the sabertooth. Get Asus PRO or if you do not need wifi + bluetooth buy cheaper Gigabyte X-D3H or UD3H.

Next lose the corsair memory. Buy quality G.skill.

You really do not need a water cooling solution. Lose it. Buy good air cooler.

Video cards. GTX 760 or R9270X or better with or with out SLI / CF
GTX 760's are faster in SLI than one 780. Same thing with R9 270X.

Buy 850 or bigger. I think you are going to do CF or SLI sooner or later. Then it will ge good to have 800-1000w PSU.
This is awesome quality psu with resonable price.

Edit one thing more. Buy Windows ultimate or PRO.
Maybe best buy 8 or 8.1. Windows 7 Home Premium supports only 16GB memory. Ultimate and PRO supports more. I think it was 192GB or something like that..

So my suggestion goes ike this. Then we can look better video card solutin for you. 760's SLI or R9 270x CF or anything you want. One GTX 780(ti) or 4* CF R9 290.. :wahoo:

AxlFone, thanks for the help. :)

Think the setup recommendations are great. Aside from bad experiences with Seagate, I'd like to stick to WD Black, a longer warrenty for a dedicated storage disk is more important to me. The additional 500gb is meant for abusive downloading, Seagate may possibly suit me in this case. Windows Pro may perhaps the way to on. For my purposes, I feel that the marginal benefit of getting Windows 8/8.1 may not be worth it.

You're absolutely spot on about potential SLI/CF, that has been on my mind. I have been contemplating GeForce 660 2 way SLIs for money reasons, but as mentioned I don't know much about graphic cards.

Will your recommended setup, particularly with CPU cooler, fit the case and be a very loud system?

Cheers.

Seagate is now much better than it was some years ago. Seagate did buy samsung HDD development unit so it is same as samsung was.. WD black is just making noise. Sure it do have netter warranty but.. If HDD is about to faill it fails in year so longer warranty is kind or thing you really do not need.
I have two seagate barracuda 3RB drives and they have been working fine. They do not make any sound..(nothing that I can hear anyway) And they are near as fast as the WD blacks are. But lot cheaper.
WD did buy Hitachi HDD's and now they are not so good anymore. But sure. If you want the blacks then it is what you buy. :)

Not sure how tall cooler fits to Silverstone Grandia GD08
Limitation of CPU cooler138mm So macho is no go for that case.
Is this case what you are looking for?

Yes if it fits to case. Maybe corsair H60 or 80 or something like that will work best.

So HTPC it must be then.. How about this?
