My monitor turns on and off on its own at start up. Takes a few hours to work.

My monitor turns on and off on its own as the computer is running, as soon as I turn it on. After several hours it will most times come on with the screen saver running. It does this every morning when the computer is first turned on. After it starts it is fine till the next day when I have to wait 3 or so hours for it to come on again. Meanwhile, it keeps blinking on and off and never coming on completely. I have check all the wires and all seem fine. Any ideas?

Capacitors are going bad inside on the board. I have a gateway do this exact same thing. Replaced it and then took it apart since I already had a new monitor at this point and found a few exploded caps and some that were very swollen lol.
