High resolution VS high graphic settings?

Snag you a 32 inch led tv 1080p and crank the graphic settings up. I love plugging my pc into my 40 inch lcd 1080p tv and playing bf4. Its uo to you really but the 1440p monitkrs are still a little expensive in my opinion.
