Hello , a little overview of the situation and my needs before i post budget and current specs, my main focus is 1080p gaming, the pc i currently have is a bit of a mess and was put together by a family friend some time ago, putting together extra parts he had on hand, a gpu i bought and a [pre built hp computer] (http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=5151865&spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03013679-13%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken) he found for cheap.

My budget is around 500 € but i could add a few more hundred if really needed.

I wasn't able to find most of the components on pcpartpicker so i'll just tell you here,

GPU= [Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 2gb](http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/product_index.aspx?leg=&psn=000101&pid=1081&lid=1)

CPU = i3 2120 3.30 Ghz

RAM= ok this is the first time i actually look at my ram and i'm pretty confused so i'll just give you the CPU-Z screenshots and you guys can hopefully tell me wtf is going on [here](http://imgur.com/a/jnFJy) (i knew i had 6 ram before but hadn't actually looked at the speeds)

Mobo= yeah i couldn't find this crap anywhere but it's the one described in [this ](http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=5151865&spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03013679-13%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken) link

Case= the one of the previous link

Hard Disk= I'll change this later on.

PSU = Not sure which model i got but i upgraded from the 300W that was in the prebuilt pc

That should be it for parts, from my research i see that if i want a i5 like a 4670 i'll need to change the mobo, which will mean i might need to change the case too. My main questions were gaming wise would it be best to get a new gpu, i see sapphire are making a r9 290 with their own cooler + a minor factory OC, or just upgrade my cpu and wait a bit for a new graphics card?

A few random CPU-Z screenshots [here](http://imgur.com/a/uPERE)

Last thing is please notice the fact that i live in europe so the prices won't be the ones you might see in the us.

Thank you for your time

Assuming these are all the componets, you have a 3rd Gen Intel Machine LGA-1155 (Haswell is 4th Gen [LGA1150] and the performance increase was minimal), no need to seriously updgrade to the later.

Your memory is DDR3-1333 and you have two slots and would max at 8GB (2x4GB) (if you had a x64bit system), if you have a 32bit it would cap at 4GB
Your PSU is a bit small 300W if you choose to up your video card to something better (would need 550W or more to run that 6970).
Your GPU you can get a better option for the price. Shop around for a later model (GTX 650Ti or so)

You budget gives you enough for a PSU, Memory (if you don't have enough), HDD and this video card.

Best Luck

Sorry i should have explained better, to the prebuilt pc i added a new PSU, the graphics card and i think the ram was modified but that wasn't me. I have a 64 bit system and what confuses me about the ram is the speed at which it says its running.
For the motherboard specs and the case, and maybe some of the RAM you can check the website showing the premade build, otherwise its part i added in.
So you think that for gaming the processor is enough as it is, and i should just upgrade the GPU?

Wait, i must've missed something. I thought you were going to purchase the 6970. This card is fine Unless you're doing gaming at ultra on 1080p or higher.

Your ram right now is 6GB (4GB stick and one 2GB) unfortunately they are two different brand with different latency. I believe this might affect some performace. Check the memory tab in CPU-z send a screen shot

I put an album on imgur of my cpu-z ram page http://imgur.com/a/jnFJy . I'l just explain as clearly as i can, i have a 6970, and i3 2120, that weird ram combo, a good enough PSU and and lga 1155 mobo, in order to improve my gaming performance at 1080p (on many newer games i need to put the settings on low/medium to get decent fps), should i get a newer GPU or CPU+Mobo?
Thanks for your time in reading and replying
