Basically the above more wondering if I need to upgrade CPU or not. I have the h100i, and have over locked it to 4.2ghz, but it's running at 15 degrees Celsius idle, 30 on load, so can go higher if needed.
but it isnt possible to have a processor cooled below room temperature without sub ambient cooling.
If I understand what you're saying correctly, I'm using liquid cooling to make that possible. If it was fans it wouldn't be possible. I have fans for the radiator, but it uses (can't remember real work for it, just remember how it was described to me by a friend) the same idea as the way a fridge stays cooler than room temperature.
liquid cooling is really no different than air cooling. it isnt sub-ambient unless you are adding icecubes
it isnt like a fridge
I'm not really sure, that's how it was described to me, guess that's wrong though. Was using real temp, core temp, and CPU-z to check my temps, they all agreed. So now I am confused.
