Hi!

I was looking into the cooling options for my new rig with an i5 4670K processor on an Asus H87-Pro motherboard (no OC in the near future), when I found out that the Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 on my old machine will fit on it as well (1150 socket).

Could someone tell me if I would be benefiting from the Freezer 7 Pro, or shall I install the stock cooler? I'm not planning on buying any new CPU cooler at the moment... Any experiences?

Thanks!

Haven't received any answers so far and my research hasn't yielded much results...
Anyway, I decided to go with the Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2, cause it's really quiet on my old Core 2 Quad Q9550.
And the temperatures are looking good there as well.

Usually the Intel stock coolers tend to do a worse job anyway.

Yeah the Freezer 7 pro will be better than the stock cooler. Although its a budget cooler, its still better than the junk coolers that intel use stock.

What he said. It suppose it would be hard to find any air cooler that performs worse than the stock Intel cooler. lol

But seriously, I have had the same cooler on my old rig (and still have in a way) and while it does only allow mild overclocks it´s still a pretty solid cooler.
Small, cheap, quiet and so very easy to install.
