Shortly before the holiday my ASUS M3A78 PRO running Windows 7 64 bit stopped connecting to my ZyXEL DSL modem. I tried all the normal fixes, restarting the modem, restarting the PC, etc. and realized all my other devices were still connecting OK, just this PC through it's LAN had stopped talking, I also noticed the LAN connection showed "disconnected". I reloaded all the realtek 8111 versions of drivers and nothing. Now this is were it gets interesting, it isn't just the LAN. I tried (3), !!! count 'em 3 different USB Wifi adapters and all of them see my wireless router but say "limited connectivity" and won't connect to the web. So is there some kind of windows driver that is corrupt that won't allow any COM through the onboard LAN or external USB WiFi adapters? I asked my IT guy at work and I'm a EE so we know a bit about PCs and this is a vexing problem. I'm about ready to junk the MB, but it sure seems like a software problem.

Thanks,

Another thing, all three USB Wifi adapters work on my other PC. I even bought a USB to Ethernet dongle and it works on my other PC but not this one. I'm wondering if my Realtek PCIe network adapter hardware is bad.....
