First time threader.....

Yesterday i replaced my Pentium 4 CPU and existing hardware for a shiny new P8Z77-V Pro mboard, i5 3570k cpu and g skill trident x 2400 ddr3 16gb kit.

I power up and all my fans start spinning (case fans, Cpu, graphics card, Psu all spin) then i get the red cpu led light and the system resets. It is only on for a couple of seconds.

I have been on the forums chasing up solutions but i am getting nowhere fast:

Checked all power connections including 8 pin atx connector (my psu has a 4 pin)
Checked ram 1 stick at a time in all slots
Reset cmos with cpu in and with it out
Checked cpu if installed correctly
Checked cpu for bent pins
Checked mboard and is installed correctly

I think i am out of ideas. Any new ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

What power supply using? Have you tested the board outside the case, stock CPU fan installed?

Yeah i was about to check it but decided to take it to the local pc shop. They told me it was a DOA motherboard. Lucky it's only 11 months into my 12 month warranty. They are sending back to ASUS for assessment.
