Can I upgrade P5PL2 bios to run a 45nm cpu?

Yes I'm sure it's not the -E. Upgraded the bios to AMI1808, it still won't run the E8600. I've come to the conclusion it simply can't support the 45nm architecture. I do appreciate the attempts to help though.
