Hi to everybody,

I am from Spain , and recently I have discovered that my old CPU was bottlenecking my new GTX 660 in fact, it seems that also bottlenecking my old GTX 460... I O/C a bit my current CPU from (200x11) to 230x11... but it did not help too much and is still bad for StarCraft II HOTS.
So I have decided to upgrade my Computer.

The Idea was move to Intel because I think nowadays is better and looking in this forum, I'm thinking of picking 1150 socket and i7 4770k.

For Mobo, I prefer Asus because all my previous mobos were Asus and hde no problems with them. I want 4 slots for RAM, a lots of USB 3.0 and at least 6 or more SATA (I have 4 HDD and one DVD with SATA and should put another HDD soon), 1 or 2 video options HDMI and DVI for example, 5.1 sound is enough for me and maybe with options for jerks or easy OC options (like I said before, if that can be called O/C :( )

The socket and the CPU are not mandatory but for me it is ok an i7.
I have to count with a CPU cooler? The memory 2x4gb minimum for gaming, suppose.
The budget is more or less 600$ (450€).

Just for know, My Computer:

Mobo Asus M3A78-EM
CPU QuadCore AMD Phenom X4 9550, 2200 MHz (11 x 200)
Chipset AMD 780G, AMD K10
RAM 8192 MB 4x2 Gb (DDR2 SDRAM)
Graphic NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (2048 MB)
HD WDC WD10EALX-009BA0 ATA Device (931 GB, IDE) (SO and Games)
750 W GTX? TXG,. TGX?... i dont know

Solution
If you plan on just using it for gaming, then no point in getting an i7. If you really want to get the best performance, take the money you save by getting an i5, and spend it on a higher graphics card. For RAM most 8gb sets should do fine. Just make sure speed is at least 1333mhz, and 2 sticks of 4gb.

Thanks for asnwer so quickly.
The i7 aren't much better than the i5? or just for some things that I will never do? I don't want to pay more money for an i7 if i can play with an i5 but... but maybe i7 will have and extra long life than the i5?
Thanks again, and if you know, which RAM I should choose?

You cannot SLI the 660 and 460, If you wanted to do that then you would have to get another 660.

For the motherboard, it doesn't really matter which one, they will all work about the same. Personally I always use Asus, but it's which one you like.

For the RAM, any one's will work, even those ones. You don't have to worry about it. It's only that high voltage because of the speed, you can just lower the speed.

This would be my setup for you. You can remove / change the SSD but id leave it in. Would go well together with the setup. I think its a nice future proof build because in some time you will probably want to change the GPU. The system shouldn't hold it back.
