Hello,
I'm a total noob at overclocking; I've never done it before because I'm too scared of breaking things.
I have two issues (also see screenshot):
1) I recently noticed a feature in my UEFI BIOS in the ASUS EZ Mode which consists of three different profiles: Energy Saving, Balanced/Normal and ASUS Optimal . I clicked "ASUS Optimal" and the system rebooted. When I went back into the BIOS into Advanced Settings, I noticed that the CPU was overclocked.
2) I immediately reverted back to default settings (F5: Load Optimized Defaults). Then I went back into the BIOS and (luckily) the CPU (AMD FX-8150) was back at its stock speed (3.6 GHz).
Is the Auto-overclocking feature from ASUS harmful for my system? If so, will loading the optimized defaults revert the overclock completely?
Thank you in advance, sorry for bad English.
