Windows Upgrade assistant?

I have just bought windows 8.1 and it is "getting files ready through the windows upgrade assistant. The only problem is that i want windows 8 for a new pc not for this one. HELP!?!?

So you bought it online at the M$ shop? Is it a full version or an upgrade?

That's what I'm ****ing bricks about, it says windows 8.1 upgrade assistant and it says it is "getting files ready" because I saw no option to buy it on the microsoft site. I have not used the product key so i presume that if push comes to shove I could return it? I don't have the money for another OS so I am really crapping myself here D:
