If your rig is for gaming and will not be doing intensive editing/rendering, you're wasting money on i7 and 16gb of ram. You can grab a i5-4670k and 8gb then grab a corsair h100i / something simliar for your OC.

As HeyyScott said what is the computer going to be used for. Also get a 64 bit version of Windows 8, there is a 4gb ram limit in 32 bit versions of windows so you won't waste money on RAM

Heyyscott I will use it for rendering and editing I plan on using fraps and some other programs later on. Also I'm an engineering/architectural student so I need the i7 For rendering. but will probably drop to 8gb RAM

Sorry for the lack of information in OP wrote it whilst at work. Thanks for all your help though.
