I am currently in the middle of deciding how to build my first pc for gaming. I would like some input on what i have put together and what i plan to do in the future.

Current future rig setup:
CPU: i5-4670k 3.4GHZ
MOBO: Asus Z87-A
RAM: Vengeance 8gb (1x8gb)
GPU: GTX 650 Ti 1024MB
PSU: Corsair CX750 Builder
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
CASE: Antec Three Hundred

Now i know the GPU is a little weak for this setup, but my plan was to get another 650 Ti and SLI them in the near future as well as add another 8GB of ram. I was wondering how this plan sounded to you guys, any help would be greatly appreciated.

As skit75 said, it will probably be a good couple of years before you need 16GBs RAM, unless you're planning to run several programs at once. But your plan as far as that goes is solid enough.

Onto the GPU, I would typically recommend against SLI - especially when you said 'near future'. If you can afford it, you'd better off with a GTX 670. The 650ti isn't a bad card per se but you could find it struggling in SLI depending on what resolution you're going to be playing at.
The other RAM stick will at least allow you the benefits of Dual-Channel mode but the added capacity will not likely ever see use in gaming.

I thought I might go SLI one day also.... turns out I just end up buying a new GPU every two years in x60 series of nVidia cards. (GTX 260/GTX 560Ti - now/ GTX 760 - currently shopping) and it suits me well.
