Having issues getting radeon 7870 working with asus m5a78l. Had working with on board graphics card but after messing around in BIOS to disable , i changed to PCI- GFX0-GPP-IGFX ..... how I get the long beep & 3 short ones & I get no signal to monitor via internal or new GC.

I am therefore unable to update bios as I can't see anything!

Any ideas??

Asus mobo 1 long + 3 short beeps means the video card is not recognized.... to return to the default onboard video, reset the BIOS by removing the battery for 5 minutes or more. After the 5 minutes pass, place the battery back on the motherboard and connect the monitor to the onboard VGA port and start the computer. All should return to normal.

To enable the Radeon 7870: In Onboard VGA mode; install the 7870 drivers, make the 7870 default in the display properties, restart the computer, access the BIOS and change the BIOS to PCIe video saving settings.. exit the BIOS and make the computer restart (prior to BIOS post) with ctrl+alt+del cutting power as the screen goes blank, connect the monitor to the 7870, and start the computer.
