I sold my 7950 to cash in on the bitcoin craze so I need to purchase a new gpu. I was playing everything on Ultra with zero issue on the 7950. I'm looking for price/performance. For instance, after promo codes/rebates, you can snag a PNY 760 for $205. Or, a MSI TF 760 for about $233. Right this minute, there is a PNY 770 for $275.

What is the true best value right now regarding gpu's?

The 760 is not as fast as your 7950 was, the 770 is about the best game in town right now at that price/performance range.

Does it make a difference at all that I'm using a tv that (I think) isn't true 120hz? My concern is spending $50 or so more for the 770 but without any noticeable gain. I've read good things about the PNY cards. I passed on the Asus 760 the other day after reading many bad reviews about it. Unfortunately for me, I'm a buyer that's always worried about making the wrong decision!

I don't put much stock in customer reviews or some of the review sites, I read a lot to try to get an overall view of a product. With that said, if you place a high value on customer service in case you get a bad card out of the box then EVGA is the company for you, they sell NV cards only and are the best support in the industry.

Tom's best bang for the buck picks this quarter in your price range are the R9 270>GTX 760>GTX 770>R9 290. Here is EVGA site if you want to look their cards over, hope this helps..
