i know both cards perform same or trade blow in specific games so i feel like its up to features.
mantle sounds promising but theres no solid proof yet and they keep delaying bf4 patch.
nvidia is better with driver updates, services etc and i really like phsyx.
And ive noticed most of r9 280x especially asus cards got artifacts problems and not seem to be fixed unless ppl rma not sure if its only asus but im really concerned about artifacts.

all cards are on exact same price ;
Sapphire Toxic r9 280x / asus directcu ii top r9 280x / asus gtx 770 directcu ii oc

i appreciate your comments. thanks.

I would go with the toxic. It is one of the top performing cards and an amazing cooler, pretty much the best example of a 280x. I have sapphire's dual x 280x and I love it, been an nvidia guy for my 2 previous cards and only made the switch because the 280x was under $300 still.

I'm in the market for a new gpu as well. My decision for the GTX 770 was made pretty easy, as the 280X is pretty much either sold out everywhere or over $380-400 right now. I'm somewhat glad, as I'm looking forward to the convenience of shadowplay. Cool feature.

Where are you finding those for the same price and in stock? I'm interested for myself.

The 280x is a better overall card vs the 770. The sapphire toxic has been shown to reach near 780 levels with overclock in the reviews I have seen.

I would say personally that AMD drivers have been better than Nvidia for most of this year, however shadowplay and PhysX are neat features. Mantle still has a lot to prove, so if your looking for pure gaming performance 280x if your looking for features right now the GTX 770
