Freeze MSI gtx 660 Tii OC/PE

Hi, as written above, I have a 660 ti...
My trouble is the forward:
My desktop gets very high FPS on the games, but sometimes it freezes and I receive the message that my video driver has crashed...

I've saw reports a lot about it, with the same card.
But, I don't know what do yet!

I'm almost sure that Itsn't software problem.
I've installed a new O.S on the HD, with new drivers... ALL NEW. ALL CLEAN.
And the problem persists.
My card doesn't gets very hot. It just reaches on 74°C playing Far Cry 3.
Nevertheless I settled the fan to 60% and the temp. dropped a lot... But the problem persists.

Games I've found out trouble:
- Far Cry 3
- Black Ops 2
- CoD - Ghosts
- Need For Speed Hot pursuit

I played Crysis 3 too. But I cannot says certainly if with this game the trouble turns up, because I'vnt played a lot.

I don't have a machine to test my card!!!

My specs:
- AsRock Z77 Pro 4
- i5 3570k @auto
- MSI gtx 660 ti PE/OC
- Corsair CX-500 (CP-9020047-WW )
- 2x4gb G. Skill Sniper 1600Mhz
- HD 500GB sata3 seagate.
- HD 250gb sata2 seagate.

I'm thinking too about RMA the card.

Ok, well since you have good fps sometimes, but it seems to crash once it heats up, i would try underclocking the card using msi afterburner. easy to install but do not touch the voltages, and just simply reduce the core clock by 100mhz and the memory clock by 100mhz. This will lower your fps by around 12-13% but if it fixes your problem, then you will be able to conclude that it is either your video card or your power supply.

The ONLY reason i suggest that it may be your power supply is that recently it seems many people have been buying low quality power supplies and being burnt on them. With you having a corsair psu however, i doubt that this is the problem (though the cx series is the lowest quality one they make)

Try underclocking your GPU -100mhz. If its stable then it would appear your GPU or psu is defective. Most likely GPU.

If it still crashes uninstall the nvidia drivers, run a driver sweeper and install the latest whql.

Rarely these factory oc cards pass tthrough testing but can't run the oc. Msi will gladly replace it if you got a bad one.

It is possible, but your best bet would be to disable the gpu and play some games on the cpu graphics processor. Yes they will be very low fps, but if the video driver does not crash at all, then you can rule out your cpu AND motherboard as being part of the problem
