CPU 0 Under Heavy Load. Have to change affinity to run games smoothly.

Hi all,

I have an i7 3770k cpu that seems to favor core 0. The problem residing from this is a performance drop when running any game (Call of Duty Ghost for example). I was getting a huge drop in fps making the game unplayable. After checking out resource monitor, I noticed core 0 under heavy load, so I changed the affinity to use cores 1-7. This fixed the problem and all my games run great. It's rather annoying, however, to have to do this every time. Is there a way to launch an application with the affinity pre-set? Or is there a way to distribute the system processes? Here is a screen shot of task manager on a diagnostic boot using only basic services and drivers. Notice that core 0 is under heavy load.

I gave it shot, but it made no difference. I still have to remove cpu 0 from any game process to avoid suffering a huge fps drop.

After booting up this morning, I checked resource monitor to see that there was slight cpu usage spread out across cores 0, 2, 4, and 6. I thought it was looking to be in good shape, so I ran a game only to get the same results. System interrupts spiked to about 12% cpu usage and seemed to be only on core 0 as the other cores had moderate usage compared to core 0 which seemed to be at it's max. I've checked out several forums on system interrupts causing high cpu usage, but no one seemed to have viable solution.
