Hi guys.

I know that this topic have been up lately.
But what do you prefer between those two.

1, ASUS R9 280X MATRIX PLATINUM:
PROS:Less performance then toxic, Better OC-possibilities, compatible with asus rog mobo, better materiels, and looks just badass..

CONS: not much u get performance/price, less cooling even it fills 3-slots, more powerconsumption.
or

2, R9 280X TOXIC:
PROS: Performance, Standout design, bettercooling, better performance/price.

CONS: Noisy, the colorscheme wont fit the most cases, only 2 years of warranty. and ZERO OC-possibilities.

Best Regards from Denmark.

Go with the toxic, probably the best 280x out there.

I'd go with the Asus, hands down - you mark it for 'less performance' which isn't really true, it simply isn't Pre-OCed as high - the cards with a high OC out of the box are set to a predetermined voltage which actually may be more than is required for the individual GPU you have - GPUs are just like CPUs in that their are the middle of the road ones, ones that suck, and then you have the silicon lottery GPUs that OC great and with little voltage, which are oft times somewhat wasted when you take a production lot of say 500 GPUs and run them all into something like the Toxic

But then again, the matrix have been made for those who got the need and the desire to OC, and its much preferable for those customers.

But again for those who dont know how to OC, i would recommend the Toxic, as you were saying, it OCed out of the box.

I would definitely go for the Matrix, simply because of the possibilities of oc and much more reliable when it comes for the equipment they put together so it can stand awhile.

What are the manufacturer warranty on the Matrix..??

The Toxic comes only with 2 years warranty, something to consider why Matrix followed by 3 years of warranty.
