Don't understand where my graphics card (Radeon 6520G) fits into the gaming picture

Assassins Creed 3 is on sale right now so I went to look up my compatability with that game on CanIRunIt, but was disappointed to see that I fail to meet it's requirements. All else checks out OK - Ram, processor, etc except for the video card.

Now, the impression I have been under is that the first number, the 6, is the series, and it goes on from there in levels within that series. The system requirements listed, however, state that I need at least a Radeon HD 4850 to run it. Why don't I meet that minimum?

It also says I need a pixel shader of 4.0 and a vertex shader of 4.0, which I meet both at 5.0. I also have the video ram required (512mb).

Keep in mind I have a tolerance for low FPS. For example, right now I am able to play Far Cry 3 with about 10fps in the open world and 15fps closed levels and I am perfectly content with that. But I do want to know if I could play this at all.

Thanks

Solution
Looking at the benchmarks, it appears that the 4850 is indeed substantially stronger than the 6520G.

My guess is that it will still run, if you turn down the resolution enough and turn off all the eye-candy.
