Hey guys,
so in July 2013, I built the following rig:
mobo: Asrock Extreme4 990fx
GPU: GTX 770 4GB OC - 1300MHz core, 1800MHz (8GHz) memory
CPU: AMD FX 8320 OC (4.7GHz)
RAM: G.skill sniper series 2133mhz
2 hdds, and an SSD
1 DVD drive
Corsair CX600

A couple days ago, I brought my PC over to a friends house for some Battlefield 4. When I brought my pc back home, I plugged everything in, flipped on the power supply without turning on the computer to hear a pop, see some sparks and smoke. I flipped it off and unplugged it immediately. I didn't smell anything, even in the PSU so I don't think my other components are ruined (knock on wood) and it'll be some time before I buy a replacement, looking at an HX750 or something with a little more juice. I removed the PSU from my computer and I'm wondering if I should paperclip test to see if it still works, then test other components... I'm actually pretty scared to do that LOL
what do you guys think? Would the rest of my components be okay? Is that PSU too weak for my PC? Should I test the PSU?

Thanks, man. Time to save up...
Any way I can return it since it had "three year warranty"?
I sent in a ticket on Corsair Tech Support and got this reply...
"Dear Valued Customer,

If it did damage your PSU, you will need to fill out a damage claim form. If not, we will be more than happy just to replace the PSU"
I mean a capacitor blew so i'd think it's damaged
