My overall budget I would like to keep somewhere around $1100-$1300. Question? is that your build you linked or what you suggest?
And yes mostly a gaming PC, only typing up a few word docs here and there.

It's a build suggestion. For gaming, with that budget, I'd go with an Intel Cpu. The Amd fx8350 isn't bad, but it doesn't perform as well in games as an I5. I went with the Ivy Bridge 3570k because it's quite a bit cheaper than the Haswell 4670k, and it overclocks more consistently than the 4670k.

Everything else on the build is super solid. It'll overclock well with a good cooler, great case, super great Psu for the price. You could spend more money and try to fit a Radeon 290 or nVidia 780 into the build if you want, or you could add an SSD. Ram prices stink right now, so ddr3 1600mhz is about as good as you'll get without spending quite a bit more money.

I appreciate the help but I would prefer to keep my current build, I just need a case and a graphics card, preferably a cheaper card than the one you picked.

Well, the next step down for video is going to be an nVidia 760, which will be about 250. For stepping down on the case, the Corsair 300r with or without window is nice and not too much money usually.

:edit: Or you could get the fx8320, overclock to make up the difference in clock speed since you are already planning on getting the NH-D14, and put the money saved towards a better video card.

Thanks for the advice, i'm still new to computer building so i'm not going to overclock, don't want to risk frying a CPU.

edit: Could you possibly link the nvidia 760 annd corsair 300r? Can't seem to find them.

I'm looking for a new motherboard because I was reading that the ASRocks get very hot and even leave scorch marks on cases sometimes. Also i'm looking for a second gen video card to run future games.

The next step up from the 760 is a 770(330 dollars) or 280x(also known as a 7970-340 dollars). The 760 is current generation. AsRock is a good manufacturer, I've never heard of issues involving heat with their boards.
