I'm in need of a graphics card to complete my 1st build!... Due to the power supply I'm not sure what will be compatible. I have been looking at the radeon 7000 series and gtx 600 series but im lost.

Current Setup:

fx 6300 CPU - 95 watts
1600 Corsair Ram
1TB WD HD - ?watts
MSI 970A-G46 moba - ?watts
cx430m Power Supply
no disk drives

Thanks

The GTX 660 only requires a single 6 pin PCI-E power connector so you should be fine

The amperage is what you should be looking at, not the number of power connectors since you can always use a dual molex to PCI-E power connector as long as your amperage is sufficient (the cables which you wouldn't need in this instance)

It also recommends 24A on the +12v rail for the whole system including the 660, where the CX-430M has 32A, it's enough for his system unless he has many drives and is going to overclock a fair bit

would not recomend it due to 450w min requirement

650 ti is probly max i would recomend you add on to a cx 430

motherboards tend to be round 30w and hd 10-15w
ram about 5-10w

cpu i know idles 77-95w kicks up a storm up to 180w when pushed hard
