I have a problem for Christmas I bought the h80i cooler and I placed it in with the fans exhausting because the other top fan is exhausting too. I don't know whats wrong im getting horrible temps 30-40 Celsius idle and when i play games 60-70c and on prime 95 goes to 80 Celsius within 2 seconds I don't know whats wrong. I previously had air cooler sythe mugen 3 and it kept things cool I thought water cooling would be even better. I also got sli a second 680. I have the Antec 1200 v3 case so I have the 3 front fans on intake then 2 top fans exhaust and top of case big boy fan exhaust and side fan intake. Please help.

Solution

Take the cooler off, clean the thermal paste off ofboth the CPU and the CPU cooler, reapply new thermal paste, attempt to reinstall the CPU cooler as well as possible, follow the instructions that came with the h80 if you aren't sure. Once you do that, before you boot the system for the first time, set the CPU back to stock clocks. If the temps are better at stock. Then try overclocking again, and see if they get up as high as they were. Hope this helps!
