We're trying to burn a dvd and we're getting this message,"note nought space". Pls explain what this means?

It means whatever you are trying to copy is larger than the space available on the dvd

A single-layer DVD holds about 4.3 GB of data. A double-layer DVD holds about 8.5 GB of data. The message you're getting, as animal said, is because you are trying to burn more data onto your DVD than it can hold.
