Ok, so I have a gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 2x4gb ddr3 g.skill 1066 with a 4 core cpu (don't remember name) and Amd Radeon 7750 with 1tb hdd and 300 watt psu whenever I turn on the computer the fans only spin for half a second I placed ram around bread boarded and everything nothing seems to work! Do I have to buy a new motherboard?

Solution
Oh. If you breadboarded the system and it won't POST, then (if the CPU is OK) that would lead me to assume the MB is defective. It happens. I've had my share.

Man, it's hard to read one long sentence with no periods...

I believe you only have one SYS FAN header on that MB. But if one of your fans is plugged into that header and it doesn't spin normally, I would say that the MB has a defect. If that is the only problem with the MB and you want to keep it, just use an adapter and plug the fan(s) into a Molex connector from the PSU.
