Hey guys.I have had a bad past with viruses and after reformatting win7 a million times enough is enough! Right now my computer (knock on wood) is virus free. If I were to buy an external hdd and create a system image on it, and say my computer got a virus. Will restoring that system image to the computer erase the virus and put it back into its original state?

Yes, if you have an image, then you can re-image your machine at any time to that state. (note possible loss of data)
