Hello and thanks for reading, a friend of mine bought a 4gb DDR3 ram memory to use along his 2gb stick, the memory of 4gb is ADATA ddr3 1333 (9) 4GX8 U-DIMM 10242459 ADATA pc3 10600
but the motherboard won't boot with it, the motherboard is an asrock v41m-vs3 r2.0, he is currently using a core2duo e8200 2.6ghz 1333fsb. the ram also won't boot in another friend's computer either, the weird thing is that the other friend has the very same ram memory ADATA ddr3 1333 (9) 4GX16 U-DIMM 10242459 ADATA pc3 10600 (this one did worked in both pcs) with the only difference that is 4gx16 rather than 4gx8. it is also visible that the 4gx16 has 8 black chips in both sides while the 4gx8 has 8 chips in only one side. if this is important, what is the difference between them? if it is relevant, is there a way to make it work in the motherboard of is it a motherboard problem itself? thanks in advance.
