I am building a system for a friend and after putting everything together and pressing the power button, nothing shows up on the monitor. I have already tried resetting the CMOS/battery, reseating everything (CPU, RAM, video card), booting the system out of the case, booting the system inside the case, flashing the BIOS to the latest version with ASUS's BIOS Flashback feature, trying the video card in a different PCI-E slot, and trying different video cards. Still no POST or anything. The only thing I haven't tried yet is trying a different CPU, like an Athlon II X3, to see if that is compatible. How can I fix this problem? The CPU I am using is an AMD FX 8320.

How did you update to the latest bios with NO POST ?
As i see it the only BIOS supporting this CPU is 1006 and above
If you have lower than 1006 -> NO POST

this is the latest one :

Yes I updated to the latest BIOS by using the motherboard's BIOS Flashback feature. I even flashed update 1006 to see if that worked, but still nothing.

When I press the power button, all the fans including the CPU and video card run and everything seems normal, but nothing will show up on the monitor (no ASUS logo or BIOS). I tried different cables, video ports, and displays as well.

So correct me if i`m wrong :
How can you update BIOS without seeing ANYTHING on the Monitor ?

My point is that you mobo BIOS ver. i lower than needed for this CPU and you need BIOS upgrade !
- add CPU that you can have Normal POST
- then upgrade to latest ver.
- after that put back you AMD FX 8320 CPU
