I understand I can do a few hours of research and a lot of things are preference, but I need help on picking a new graphics card. I have around $300 I can get more if needed but that's around where I'm at. I currently have 2 5670's in crossfire which are okay for skyrim and stuff but my system is a lot better than these cards and I want a better gaming experience. I stopped doing my research and keeping up to date with GPU's when the Nvidia 600 series came out and I wanted to know what cards are currently going to give me the most for my money. I lean more towards nvidia but hey, I'm open to anything. I also don't want to manually overclock a card.

build:
i5 3570k @ 4.5 GHz
16 GB G skill ripjaws x @ 1600 MHz
750w EVGA PSU
asrock z77 extreme 4

I've seen 770's for around 300, wouldn't it be better even with less vram?

If you can find one then yes its better. The cheapest I have seen was 340 for a reference cooler.
More than 2GB isnt needed as long as you are on a single 1080p monitor. A higher resolution or more monitors requires 4. Some games, such as HEAVILY modded skyrim need 4.
EDIT: That card was sold out yesterday, and yes for that price its a good buy.
