This is my first pc build, i'd like to keep the budget around $400. I'll buy a 27 inch monitor, keyboard, speakers, and mouse separately. I'll be using it for word and excel, 3d modeling such as solidworks, matlab, web browsing, youtube, probably playing an occasional dvd, and itunes. Won't be doing any gaming.
Here's a build i came up with. I like the idea of the speed of the boot ssd drive, with no gaming and little video demand i left out a gpu for now. Here is the build i came up with. Is there any obvious problems with it? Anything i missed?

for solidwork and matlab, i would go with i5 and 2x 4GB of ram
forget about SSD at that given budget. trust me 60GB isnt enough as OS partition grows over time. 120GB is minimum
