16GB of 1866MHz vs. 8GB of 2400MHz RAM

In your opinion, is it better or more beneficial to get 16GB of 1866 speed ram than 8gb of 2400 speed. Price isn't an issue, just wanted to get some more info as far as Gb and MHz. All comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks

DDR3-2400 will not show its superiority unless you run synthetic benchmarks, they are the same performance in everyday tasks. 16Gb is a bit too much RAM, as 8Gb is all you need for gaming. I will recommend 8Gb (2x4Gb) of DDR3-1866MHz RAM for gaming.
