Hello there,

In the earlier parts of 2013 I was planning to build myself a new PC, but not surprisingly a few things got in the way and I was unable to. Now though, I'm able to build one for the first time and am quite excited by the prospect.

I'm in Victoria, Australia and ideally only want to buy from HTTP://www.PCCaseGear.com as they have fantastic support staff and are relatively close to me. I'm not a fanboy for AMD nor Intel, I simply choose products based on price to performance. I've looked at my options for a good while now and came up with a build like this:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 6 Core Black Edition Processor ($139AUD)
MB: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2 Motherboard ($99AUD)
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 Splinter Cell OC 2GB ($309AUD)
RAM: Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX (2x4GB) DDR3 ($119AUD)
HDD: Western Digital WD Blue 1TB WD10EZEX ($69AUD)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB 24x DVDRW OEM ($19AUD)
PSU: Silverstone Strider Plus 600W ST60F-PS 80 Plus Silver ($109AUD)
Case: Coolermaster N400 Mid Tower Case ($69AUD)
Additional Fan: Silverstone FN121-P-WL 120mm White LED Fan ($15AUD)
Monitor: BenQ RL2455HM 24in LED Gaming Monitor ($199AUD)

Total: $1146AUD

Primarily the computer is general use, however I do plan to game on the system. At times I will be recording gameplay and possibly do some video rendering in the future. If anyone can see a way to get more bang for my buck please let me know. Also, please suggest any new parts that could boost performance and the likes. The absolute most I want to spend including the monitor is $1150AUD, but less is always better.

Kind regards,

Travis.

Note: The GPU may be purchased sometime in the next 24 hours, possibly a 670, if not the above build still stands.
