ok here is my problem

i want to monitor the entrance (door) to my apartment when im not around. i want to do this using a camera ofcourse, however i dont want it to be wired and i need it to be hidden. on the other hand im scared of threats that someone other than me could access the camera if its wireless and have a view of my house. i dont know anything about security monitoring and these kinds of stuff but iam ready to learn how to setup a network. would appreciate any help regarding understanding different security options and how i can implement them.

More about : monitor house

HI
There are manny WiFi IP Cameras that you can use in the Cloud !
- conect the cam
- setup Cloud account
- you acces the Cloud and you can see you cam from anywhere in the World - even on you Mobile - iPhone , Android ...

F.E. this one can do the job :
http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/view/network-...

Security :
- strong password on the device access - any pass longe than 6 char - Aa12@# is thaking 2-3 years for brutforce crack .......
- strong password on the Cloud account is unbreakable also .....
SO having 8-9-10-12 char strong password YOU`R SAFE

If you like you can use this tool for Password - you can use it to generate 256 bit password and never need to remember one .....

hii!! thanks for the fast response. this solutions sounds amazing i just have a couple of inquiries:

1) would i be able to record and if so where will it be stored (i dont mind buying a recording unit for a max of 12 hour recording)

2) is there any model that doesn't need a power supply? like it runs on a rechargeable battery or something ? (price if not going to 300$ +) is not a big problem. because if it has a wire it cant be hidden specially at the door front.

As long i recall you can record to NAS storage
Sorry but no battery option - you can use UPS instead ......
Or you can have PoE option - but you need cable to the CAM and you power over the Ethernet Cable as using it for network also - it require an extra equipment - PoE ready ...
I remember they have Survilance Software also.
