Building a computer, keep getting the error message "IDE detect" from my mobo when i try to boot up the machine.

I have an asus z87 pro with an intel 4770-k and 2x4gb of corsair venganeance pro series 1866mhz

I can't seem to even get into the bios at this point, nothing is showing up on my monitor. The error message that comes up on the motherboard is A2 which means "IDE detect" my question is what does that even mean?
