I recently built a computer:
- Phantom 410
- GA990FXA-UD3 Motherboard
- Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon R9 270X
- FX-8320 8-Core
- SILVERSTONE Strider Essential series ST60F-ES 600W PSU
- Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB
- GSKill Sniper 8GB RAM

I've tried using another hard drive to boot into windows to see if I could install the Caviar Black's drivers, didn't work.
Tried initializing the disk, didn't work.
Tried running in BIOS, didn't show up.
Tried different SATA cables, didn't work/
Tried different ports, didn't work.

I'm running out of ideas, please help. :(

Hi

If your PC Bios can see one SATA hard disk but not another when both connected to the same SATA Port and data cable

Then the WD black 1TB seems to be dead

If the BIOS can not see the hard disk there is no point going any further.

Did this hard disk never work ?
or has it stopped working ?

Hard disks do not need extra drivers
It is hard disk controllers which may need drivers especially if OS = XP
or for RAID
