Ok, so my gaming computer's mobo recently died and have reverted back to using a very old roughly 8 year old packard bell prebuilt desktop .
This problem is a combination of a storage, component and Windows 7 I suppose so I'm not sure if this is the most relevant place to put this question.
Anyways, everything is working fine except for the internal 5 in 1 card reader not appearing in Windows Explorer. Now, I was assuming that chances are that I don't have the driver for it and having checked the manufacturer website, I can see that it is no longer supported and there is no driver for Windows 7. Fair enough, however, Windows 7 has detected it within device manager and having clicked on 'update driver' for all devices, the drivers are up to date and there are no warnings for any devices. Also, within 'Computer', drive letters E to H have been clearly assigned to the 4 removable storage slots of the card reader as my external hard drive two partitions have been assigned drive letters I and J.
So my question is, what am I missing here? Has anyone encountered this before?
