I'm trying to build my own computer and i thought i was just about done but now i've hit a brick wall... I got up to the point of installing windows and everything seemed to be running fine (i assume this is only possible if all your components are working properly). After the finalizing installation step the computer reboot and but when it started back up again it just stayed in that black screen loading screen with no text displayed but a cursor flickering in the right hand corner. I waited about 5 minutes and nothing changed so i shut down the machine.

I go and restart the computer and now it won't even load into the bios and nothing is showing up on my screen. The error message from the motherboard is A2 or "IDE detect". I'm almost positive i didn't do anything to the machine so i have no clue what changed that could possibly be causing this error.

Now whenever i try to start up the machine the motherboard cycles through a bunch of q-codes, shuts completely off, then turns back on and staying running until you shut it off. However it doesn't boot into the bios and like i said the IDE detect message keeps being displayed.

I reseated the ram and gpu, replugged in all the sata cables, tried running through the gpu and onboard display, tried with and without a keyboard, with and without windows cd in the cd drive, even reset the cmos a few times but nothing worked. I keep getting the qcode A2 (IDE detect).

I'm just really confused why the machine seemed to be working fine for a good half hour while i went through the windows installation and everything but now i can't even boot into bios what could've possibly happened?
Not sure if this is pertinent or not but i took the installation disc out after it installed windows, so the disc wasn't in when the OS was "finalizing installation" again not sure if that means anything.
