I recently bought a Clevo W350STQ. i5 4200m & GTX765M.

This came with 2 x 2GB Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz RAM.

(JEDEC standard 1.5V (1.425V ~ 1.575V) Power Supply
VDDQ = 1.5V (1.425V ~ 1.575V)
800MHz fCK for 1600Mb/sec/pin
8 independent internal bank
Programmable CAS Latency: 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5)

I have 2 x 4GB random 1333Mhz RAM from an old laptop

(Channels # Dual
DRAM Frequency 665.1 MHz
CAS# Latency (CL) 9 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 9 clocks
RAS# Precharge (tRP) 9 clocks
Cycle Time (tRAS) 24 clocks
Command Rate (CR) 1T)

Which of these will provide the best performance for gaming?

Thanks.

I would go with the 8GB RAM. Although you may not see any noticeable performance increase, switching to the desktop using 'Alt+Tab' will make things be lag free faster and you won't have to wait a long time before it actually loads up. Also, newer titles may run on 4GB RAM even though they state 6GB is minimum, but a 4GB won't be able to handle browsing the internet and playing a game simultaneosly. Also, for a laptop I'd say the more the RAM the better... However, these are my views.
