I fail to understand what do you really want to know ? As you stated you know all the differences between the cards, so what's bothering you picking up one!

Look, every system is different so its hard to tell in anything particular on how either card will perform in your system. What you researched so far is the benchmark of either card, so that will not tell the true story, there are difference between benchmarks and real life situation. We are not marketing people so we cant convince you to get one, we can only tell you about the technical aspects and nothing more than that. Every other game is optimized for a different card, so the game optimized for AMD card will run better on AMD card and vice versa. Both cards are good so you...

AMD's Radeon R9 280X and Nvidia's GeForce GTX 770 deliver solid gaming performance across the board. It's only once you start playing the most demanding of games (such as Crysis 3) at 2,560 x 1,440 resolution and above that you'll begin to reach the limits of their capabilities.

As both cards are currently retailing for around £240, it's Nvidia that wrests victory by the narrowest of margins. Nvidia's mid-range brawler bests its rival by delivering higher average and minimum framerates across Crysis tests, and packing in more performance into every watt.

With prices shifting constantly, however, it would only take a modest price cut to put AMD back in the ascendancy. Shop around, and if you can find either GPU - or even an older Radeon HD 7970 - at a substantially cheaper price, then we wouldn't hesitate to shift our allegiance to the least costly option.

it depends, where do you live?
for example in the UK dabs and amazon is out of all the 280x-s
performance wise, there is no practical difference, both of them fast enough.
Get them whichever has a better bundle (you get 3 games with gtx 770) and is available.

for 1080p clearly the 770, but If you plan on upgrading your monitor in the foreseeable future you can go with the 280X aswell. I don't think that either card is strong enough to maintain a highframe on its on while needing more than 2GB Vram. Maybe if you SLI/CF in the future for 1440p+/Surround gaming the 280X could come in handy then, but other than that I don't know why you shouldn't go for the 770.

As you know both the cards are neck n neck in performance, so get the one you like, available to you, and that suits your budget. Good luck.
