Some sources indicate that copy protection issues make such a cable unavailable, and that the older XBOX and 360 cables won't work, read THIS, which makes sense since there is no way that your old TV is HDCP compliant.

You *may* be able to use one of the older Microsoft XBOX360 component to HDMI cables to play games if they are not copy protected at the HDCP level, but you would not be able to watch any protected content. I would pick one up somewhere that you can return it if it doesn't work, like Best Buy or Target and open it careful so you can repack it.

There is one other possible solution but it is so expensive that buying a new TV makes a lot more sense, the HDFury2 at $180, and it would downscale your output.
