I need to purchase a wireless printer for home use. I'm considering an inkjet from a cost perspective. What printers are the most efficient in their ink use?

Solution
While the initial cost of an inkjet printer is inexpensive compared to laser printer, over the long term the laser printer will end up saving you a lot of money especially if you print a lot.

I have an 2008 wired HP laserjet printer which probably cost me around $125 on sale I am still using the original toner cartridge that came with it, then again I don't print quite as often as USAFRet. Since toner is a powder I don't have to worry about it drying up.

Lasers are FAR more cost efficient. I have a 6(?) year old Dell color laser. I had to replace only one toner cart, the black one. $45 The other 3 are still reporting 60-80% full. Approx 4500 pages through it.
It cost $330 when I bought it. Newer ones are even cheaper.

An inktjet would have been several hundred dollars in ink for that volume.
