I have a problem for Christmas I bought the h80i cooler and I placed it in with the fans exhausting because the other top fan is exhausting too. I don't know whats wrong im getting horrible temps 30-40 Celsius idle and when i play games 60-70c and on prime 95 goes to 80 Celsius within 2 seconds I don't know whats wrong. I previously had air cooler sythe mugen 3 and it kept things cool I thought water cooling would be even better. I also got sli a second 680. I have the Antec 1200 v3 case so I have the 3 front fans on intake then 2 top fans exhaust and top of case big boy fan exhaust and side fan intake. I have an intel i7 2600k @ 4.5GHz Overclocked. Please help.

Two possibilities I can think of:

1. The cooler might not be well mounted. It could be loose, or perhaps you used too much paste which will act as an insulator.

2. Adding a second GTX680 has added a heat source to your case. I like having the radiator as an exhaust, but it is not the most efficient for cpu cooling. Unfortunately, reversing your setup will impact your graphics cooling.
Take the side covers off of your case and direct a house fan at the innards. If that helps the problem, look ant adding case cooling(which will add noise... you can't win)

Remember that liquid cooling is still air cooling. It is just a difference of where the heat exchange radiator is located.
Good air coolers like your Mugen are just about...
I guess you know that Corsair say the radiator fan should pull outside air in rather than expell air? I assume this is because the radiator is obviously going to be more efficient if it is cooled by the cooler outside air rather than the warm (from all the other computer components) air.

I'm not sure this would completely explain your temperature readings. I get much lower ones with an i7-4770 (stock speed) and an H50. Are you sure the block is reasonably tight on the processor and the screws were tightened in a diagonal pattern? It may be worth removing the blck and fitting it again with new thermal compound.

I think I might have to reseat it Ive read up about the back plate loose issue and Mine was loose so I might have the reseat and put washers on back plate to tighten it. Also what thermal paste should I use on the cpu Cause i have this white colored one Im not sure if its good.

Good air coolers like your Mugen are just about as good cooling when put in a good case like yours.
I would have spent my H80 money elsewhere.
