I have an xfx r7 260x and it runs at 54 when mining so I think it could go way better than its stock speed so I used msi after burner and I increased the gpu core clock speed 125mhz.the maximum speed I can get using after burner plus
it's voltage locked so. I will use trixx to push it more like 100 mhz on both memory and core clock so will it damage the gpu or void warranty??

no, its not going to damage it just by changing the core speed. changing the core voltage and heat will damage the card. but you cant do that. and no it wont void your warranty. have you tried using amd catalyst control center to do your overclocking? im not sure what settings it will give you for the 260x but you can usually raise the power limit all the way up and overclock the memory and core speed to respectable settings. sometimes certain games and programs have trouble when afterburner or trixx is running in the back ground. just make sure you are running the latest amd catalyst driver which i believe is a whql, its 13.12

well actually i will try using the amd catalyst control centre to do the ocing but now i figured out something new when mining the gpu is working at ful 1200 mhz core clock and 1600mhz memory speed but when playing games like bf3 and crysis 3 the core speed doesnt get over 850 mhz but the memory clock is at full 1600mhz so is the memory bottlenecking the core speed and i should oc it and leave the core clock??

786p and when i use trixx to get over 1200 mhz the clock speed goes down to 300 and doesnt get over till i restart the pc so i think its oc limited
